Is the power of prayer real? What does a supernatural healing look like? If someone prays for me and then I am healed of that affiliation immediately, is that evidence of God?
September 15, 2024: I was coming off a long and strenuous period at work. I was also in a faith battle, dealing with the concept of my own mortality which I couldn’t shake. This lead to a couple weeks of poor sleep, eventually where I would be waking up 4-5 times a night, never getting into a deep sleep and waking up exhausted.
I reached out to a group of friends who have big faith and asked for prayer:
Anyone up to fire off a prayer on my behalf? Feeling run down after taking on additional travel and responsibilities at work, and finding it hard to sleep through the night.
After I sent the text the prayers started coming in over text message but I didn’t see them yet, I just knew I feel better. I went to sleep, slept soundly through the night and woke up in the morning feeling better than I had in a while. Praise God!
The following morning I sent the response:
Slept great and feeling great! Thanks y’all. The power of prayer is real as y’all know.
I am very grateful to God for the healing and I am also thankful for the people for praying on my behalf. If you receive a healing, prophetic word, dream interpretation or similar please thank the person and give them feedback! It helps build their faith and encourages them to take more risks and be even bolder in their faith. With that encouragement the person who prayed so you could sleep well might tomorrow be the person who prays and sees cancer healed.
