Did you know the Lord still speaks in dreams? I started hearing from the Lord clearly in dreams in 2023. The following is my testimony of how Jesus specifically spoke to me in a dream by sending me a Bible verse.
In August 2023 I was reading Art Thomas’ book Paid in Full which is a series of teaches and exercises on praying for the sick and physical healing. I read the chapter on authority which discusses how Jesus’ authority flows from the Father, and as sons of God we are covered under that authority as well.
I read the chapter, did the writing exercise at the end and didn’t think much of it.
That night I had a dream in which the Bible verse John 8:88 appears. It is written in grey text on a computer-like font on a black background. The whole image is slightly blurry but I can read the text clearly. There is no depth in the image, it is totally flat and as if I am wearing a VR headset and the text is projected into my field of view.
In the dream I think to myself, I don’t think John 8:88 is an actual Bible verse. The dream continues and it then morphs into John 8:28:
I woke up and immediately went to my Bible. I was correct that John 8:88 is not a verse, but John 8:28 is:
So Jesus said to them, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own authority, but speak just as the Father taught me."
Recall that I had just read the chapter on authority earlier in the day!
Why John 8:88 if it isn’t a verse? I considered that there may be something encoded into the number 888. I did a quick google search and found a website describing possible symbolism within the number 888.

Jesus' name, in the original Greek language from which the New Testament was written, is spelled Ι (Iota), η (Eta), σ (Sigma), ο (Omicron), υ (Upsilon) and σ (Sigma) or Ιησουσ (Strong's Concordance #G2424). Their numeric equivalents of 10, 8, 200, 70, 400 and 200 add up to 888.
Mind blowing! I felt Jesus communicate to me directly and personally through this dream, for which I am very grateful and blessed. Thank you Jesus!
